چکیده
Abstract Single cross-sectional measures of racial discrimination may mask the dynamic nature and cumulative impact repeated exposures to discrimination. Characterizing trajectories, patterns exposure, provide insight on age-related health risk resilience. However, there is a dearth research exploring trajectories. This study characterizes trajectories identifies trajectory correlates among nationally representative sample middle-aged older black adults who participated in Health Retirement Study (2006-2018). Repeated latent profile analysis was employed identify Logistic regression models, estimating odds ratios (ORs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs), were conducted investigate sociodemographic neighborhood-level predictors Two identified: low moderate (82%) persistently high (18%). Individuals 65+ (OR: 0.45; CI: 0.32, 0.64) female sex 0.59; 0.45, 0.76) associated with lower belonging class. reporting higher levels major lifetime experiences 1.47; 1.33, 1.63) greater neighborhood social cohesion 1.30; 1.1, 1.50) predicted membership These findings suggest heterogeneity patterning adults. Discrimination enable precision consequences exposure Future studies are warranted determine whether specific classes confers differential conditions.

Trajectories of brain aging in middle-aged and older adults: Regional and individual differences
The human brain changes with age. However, the rate and the trajectories of change vary among the brain regions and among individuals, and the reasons for these differences are unclear. In a sample of healthy middle-aged and older adults, we examined mean volume change and individual differences in the rate of change in 12 regional brain volumes over approximately 30 months. In addition to the ...
